Protest Against the Seal Hunt: Putting Pressure on the Sealers Before the Slaughter Begins

Los Angeles Protest Against Seal Hunt

Until the massacres of seals end, compassionate people around the world will speak up, rally, demonstrate, and get the word out on the streets. Harpseals.org continues to organize, assist with, and promote events all over the world. The Canadian government will not fail to notice the outrage at the continued seal hunt.

The International Day of Action for Seals is typically on March 15th; however, some groups choose other dates. Below we list events taking place around the world. If you are organizing an event that is not listed, please contact us.

Hollywood, FL is a mecca for Canadian snowbirds in winter, expecially those from Quebec (one of the two main sealing provinces). This walk featured signs, chants, and special event shirts in French and English to send a message for the Canadians to take home this spring.

Seal advocates and organizations joined together with Friends of Animals in Victoria for Canada's biggest seal demonstration. Hundreds gathered in Centennial Square for a march through downtown Victoria to protest the hunt, which typically takes place in March and April.
